Where: Morris Public Library Community Room Who: Kindergarten through twelfth grade self-motivated writers Organized by: Lisa Bevevino ([email protected])
What: Open to you--a student of any age as long as you can write and want to do that in a quiet community with friends. Whether you're writing poems, graphic novels, songs, plays, screenplays, letters, short stories, your first (or second or third!) novel, family history, or some other kind of text, this club is for you! You'll spend the first half hour of each session completing a short guided writing and optional sharing activity. The next hour will be spent writing on your own or workshopping your writing with someone of your same interest or writing and reading level. Parents of very young children are encouraged to stay at the library and read and relax during the club until their child is comfortable staying on their own. Students will each receive an Inklings notebook and may write in their language of choice.
Cost: free to students Sponsored by: the Prairie Gate Literary Festival at the University of Minnesota Morris and Community Ed. Registration is necessary at: https://morris.k12.mn.us/community-education/
